'a little bit of theatrical magic'

**** The Scotsman

Too Many Penguins?

How many penguins are too many penguins?

Mr Polaro thinks that one is MORE than enough, thank you very much.

Penguina wants someone to play with.

Just one friend, or two, or maybe quite a few...

How many penguins can we get in one space? Squeeze into this fun theatrical experience, to find out. It might get crowded, but we promise the arrival of the penguins, however many, will entertain and delight. Created especially for 1 - 6 year olds and their families.

The penguins are coming!

We're delighted to announce that Too Many Penguins? will be coming to the North of Scotland this Christmas.

Lyth Arts Centre, Tue 3 - Sat 7 Dec

Lossiemouth Town Hall, Wed 11 - Sat 14 Dec

Eden Court Theatre, Tues 17 - Mon 23 Dec

There will be a relaxed performance at each venue, please see the individual booking pages for days and times.

At any Frozen Charlotte show we let kids be kids; that might mean making noise or not sitting still all the time.

For the relaxed performance we also offer the following:

  • Open the doors earlier for families who want to come into the space for longer before the show starts

  • The chance to meet the actors in costume before the show starts

  • Increase the space in the audience by selling fewer tickets

  • Lower the sound levels

  • Keep the lighting more even, reducing big changes in light levels

We endeavour to make coming to the show affordable and accessible to children with additional support needs; please drop us a line to discuss how we can make this possible for your child/children.

Hand making over 100 penguins was completely worth it!  Too Many Penguins? won the 'Critics' Award Theatre Scotland (CATS) for Best Production for Children and Young People in 2012 and has since toured extensively throughout the UK and Internationally.

There is also beautiful book of that accompanies the show - on sale now in our shop.

Originally created with support from Macroberts Arts Centre.

2024 tour funded by Creative Scotland.

We are delighted to share this online version of our beautiful book inspired by our show Too Many Penguins?
